Alaska-not to scale. Ya! Totally not in Mexico too.

actually, as you can see, the map is claiming Alaska to be a Kansas-sized island off the coast of Mexico, with a white box around it.
CALVIN: Now, if I remember my atlas, we live in a big, purple country.
HOBBES: And our house is right by the big "E" in "STATES".
