neglected

my cleats are feeling neglected.

they need to come out of the closet and get use on the field. i am really craving to play soccer. the weather right now is perfect: 73, not too sunny, a slight breeze, as the world is trying to decide if it's really autumn or not...

well, we do have a big open field in our neighborhood... and I might know a person or two who might be willing to toss around a soccer ball or football with ya...

i used to play soccer, and i loved it.
now i'm way too out of shape for it.
i know what you mean, your soccer cleats feeling neglected. my baseball cleats feel the same way. i had to find them a support group because they started spending a lot of time sighing and vocalizing their misery in subtle ways.
i never was much of an athlete, but i love baseball, perhaps the way you feel about soccer, and i really do NEED it. like a flower needs rain, i need it.
sounds corny, no? well, there are a few subjects for which i am a hopeless romantic; that's one of them.

oh well, sorry to waste so much of your time babbling on. i find your site unusually introspective and your self-awareness is uncommon. strong work, for what it's worth.
