wisdom speaks

I cannot refute you, Socrates, said Agathon: Let us assume that what you say is true.

Say rather, Agathon, that you cannot refute the truth; for Socrates is easily refuted.

-the Symposium

It's my second day on a new job... it's going ok right now, lots of down time because we're in an office that isn't up and running yet. Not sure if this could become permanent, but perhaps, and perhaps I'd stick around to stay on... more to follow...

Anonymous=Stuart, at least in this case.

This really isn’t a comment.

This hurricane is pretty interesting! That was right where we were. There’s this picture of a bridge on I-10 that got knocked out that I keep seeing. Wow. I also noticed that one of the Weather Channel dudes was at Destin getting blown (and washed) away. I hope all your family in Alabama are ok. I figure Fred and the Marines can take care of themselves but I hope he’s ok too.

For as dirty as it is I am glad New Orleans did not become a fishbowl!

Hey. Fred and the Marines made it okay. I'm actually going to start flying tomorrow, after a mere three week break. I'll have to spend a bit more time in Florida than I expected, but what's new.

Lots of damage around, though not really at my house. For pictures see www.pensacolanewsjournal.com

Thanks Kristi for helping out us hurricaned folks. And Stuart for remembering I live here =).
